CORRIDOR STUDIES

Crawford Bunte Brammeier has consulted with numerous cities and government agencies throughout the central United States in the area of transportation planning and corridor plans. On several occasions the firm has worked as part of a team in developing comprehensive plans for communities in Illinois and Missouri. The firm's experience also includes work for private clientele in the preparation of master plans for campuses and large development areas. Projects conducted by the firm in this area of specialization cover a broad range of needs and applications.
Transportation planning studies and corridor plans typically address the issues of regional traffic growth, corridor analyses and infrastructure needs assessment. Utilizing both manual and computerized methods, the firm forecasts changes in traffic volumes and travel patterns associated with area-wide development and changes to the roadway network. Recommendations can then be generated for improvements to the street system that will accommodate the anticipated traffic patterns.
