TRAFFIC SIMULATIONS
|
Microsimulation models
provide transportation planners and designers with
immense information on the performance
characteristics critical to the safe & efficient
operation of transportation networks. The simulation
models help engineers & planners identify complex
problems associated with traffic networks and assist
them in testing alternatives. These models also
provide graphical animations that help the people &
the decision makers better understand traffic
problems and the solutions suggested.
CBB has a wealth of unparalleled experience in
microsimulation modeling in the Midwest, especially
the St. Louis region. We are abreast with the
state-of-the-art modeling techniques and constantly
expanding our gamut of applications as the tools
evolve. We can model, implement & evaluate different
strategies for a range of applications from simple
traffic impact studies to complex freeway
interchanges. Different strategies include, but are
not limited to, signal timing plans, roundabouts,
ramp metering, HOV lanes, toll plazas, bus & transit
routes, ITS facilities etc.
The tools we use are VISSIM, MITSIM, SimTraffic and
CORSIM in addition to the conventional macroscopic
analysis tools like HCS 2000, SYNCHRO, TEAPAC &
aaSIDRA.
