Meet the Staff Monday: Annette Meyer

Back again with your favorite blog highlighting our favorite transportation people. The people at CBB make our team success and create a really positive work environment. We are proud to share more about them with you!

This week meet Annette Meyer, Summer 2016 Intern for CBB! Annette started as an intern at CBB in May 2016. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the UMSL/Washington University joint engineering program. This summer she is primarily working on transportation planning projects, but finds herself helping out wherever needed! Keep reading to learn more about Annette.

  1. My favorite thing to do in St. Louis is: the zoo, which is great all year round.  They have so many events and things to do, a visit there is never disappointing.
  2. The best vacation I have ever taken: I spent spring break in London with some friends from school. The weather was great while we were there (surprisingly mild).  We were able to see tons of great buildings, art, and artifacts, but we also spent a lot of time just wandering around and enjoying the city.  We would often get lost trying to get to one place and wind up somewhere better.  The icing on the cake was a trip to Energizer HQ and class credit for it.
  3. Aside from CBB, my other job is: mostly schoolwork and motherhood.  Any extra time is spent reading.
  4. If I could have dinner with anyone from history it would be: I would have dinner with Eleanor of Aquitaine. She led an exciting life and was revolutionary for her time.  It would be fascinating to have a conversation with someone who had the large of an impact in her own time and on history.
  5. Summer or winter…why? SUMMER—there is so much more to do: camping, hiking, float trips and boating, plus concerts, fairs and events.

Thanks for catching up! Be sure to stay tuned for more CBB blog updates and happenings.

Take care!
