Today, CBB would like to take a moment to thank and honor America’s veterans. We are truly grateful for your patriotism and willingness to serve our Country for the common good. While we are thankful every day, we hope this day can serve as a symbol of our sincere gratitude for all that our veterans have done for our Country. As we take a moment on this day, November 11, 2014, to honor those who have served, we would like to highlight Shawn Leight, Vice President/COO of CBB, for his service to our armed forces.
Shawn is a graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point (’93). He served the U.S. Army and Army National Guard before starting his career in the civilian sector. Shawn joined the Minnesota Army National Guard in 1986 as an enlisted radio teletype operator. Before resigning from his commission in 2003, he had risen to the rank of Captain. His assignments included Platoon Leader in B/5th Engineers at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Company Commander of C/173rd Engineers in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Shawn earned his Master of Science in Transportation Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison (’97). Today we are not only very thankful for his service, but we are also thankful for his hard work and dedication to CBB. Shawn leads CBB’s day-to-day project delivery and business development efforts. He has worked on virtually every stage of project development and has been a part of several innovative projects. His passion for transportation shines as he serves on several boards and committees of professional organizations, as well as an adjunct professor for the Washington University & University of Missouri – St. Louis Joint Civil Engineering Program.
Cheers to you Shawn! And thanks to you, and all veterans for your gracious service.
