Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician, St. Louis, MO and Metro-East

Position Description: We have an immediate opening for a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician. The successful candidate will be involved in preparing detailed construction documents for roadway and intersection improvements under the supervision of a managing engineer including roadway plans, signal plans, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) plans with associated project specifications and material quantities. The position would also assist in preparing exhibits for Traffic Impact Studies and Transportation Planning Reports as well as collect field data. The position has opportunities for long-term placement with increasing design responsibilities.

Position Requirements:

  • Certificate or Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design (or equivalent), or graduating within a short timeframe
  • General knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD and Microstation, knowledge of Civil3D and/or Geopak is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Corel and/or Adobe software is preferred but not required
  • Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read and understand specifications, technical drawings, and engineering reports with basic understanding of civil design and construction
  • A keen eye for details, strong mathematical skills, and ability to effectively communicate are requirements.

Salary commensurate with experience, education, and skills.  We offer competitive benefits package.  CBB has a flexible workspace with satellite offices in the Metro-East, Downtown St. Louis, and St. Charles, however a majority of time will be spent at the Creve Coeur Headquarters.
